Add an AI FAQ to your WordPress site
Paste two lines into a Custom HTML block, and your WordPress or WooCommerce site has a FAQ that answers visitors from your own pages and grows from what they ask.
The two lines to paste
<div data-faq-widget="YOUR_SITE_KEY"></div> <script src="https://cdn.actuallyasked.com/w.js" async></script>
Install
Live in 4 steps.
Your snippet, with your site's key, is on your Install page as soon as you add your site.
WordPress.com removes scripts from Custom HTML blocks on its lower plans. If the FAQ doesn't show there, that's why.
Steps
- Create a free Actually Asked account and add your site. Your pages are read, and your first FAQ entries are written from them.
- Edit the page where the FAQ should show, add a Custom HTML block where it belongs, paste your snippet, and update the page.
- For many pages at once, put the script tag in your site's footer once, with your theme or a header-and-footer code plugin, and add only the first line where the FAQ goes.
- For a full FAQ page, make a page called FAQ with a Custom HTML block that holds the full FAQ snippet from your Install page.
Paste where the FAQ should appear
<div data-faq-widget="YOUR_SITE_KEY"></div> <script src="https://cdn.actuallyasked.com/w.js" async></script>
What your site gets.
-
Two lines to install
Paste a div and a script, or add the block in your Shopify theme editor.
-
Real HTML
Plain questions and answers with FAQ structured data. It reads without JavaScript, and search engines see every entry.
-
Your colours, your radius
Pick a look, then change the colours, corners and spacing in the widget editor. The preview updates as you type.
-
Groups and page rules
Group entries under Shipping, Returns and Sizing. Show different entries on different pages with URL rules.
Or let your AI assistant install it: connect Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, and in your site's code it adds the snippet and checks it's live.
